I chose a picture of Carrie Underwood because she is very beautiful, and I also enjoy listening to her music. I got this picture off a google search and just copied the photo. I manipulated the photo by enhancing the quality and making her seem like she was thinking about me. The manipulation was not harmful because it is very obvious that this picture is only a joke, and that she's is not really thinking about me because she has never met me! This relates to the article I chose below because there are no guidelines on the use of the photo, and it was only used as a funny joke.
Sally Stapleton, a senior AP photo editor, said it's up to newspapers to decide how to use a photograph. "We are presenting reality (but) we have no guidelines on use. We have an internal policy that we do not change photography," she said.
